Courtyard Meetings with Community People
Supported and actively participated in courtyard meetings organized by Community Health Workers to raise awareness among rural families, particularly women and children, about climate-sensitive diseases and preventive health practices. These meetings were conducted in an informal setting within village courtyards, making them easily accessible for participants. Topics included safe drinking water, handwashing practices, maternal and child health, nutrition, and household-level adaptation strategies against climate change impacts. Women were encouraged to share their experiences and ask questions, fostering a participatory environment. The sessions contributed to improving knowledge, breaking taboos around health discussions, and empowering families to adopt healthier and climate-resilient lifestyles.
